COMMITTEES

World Health Organization
The World Health Organization (WHO) is the directing and coordinating authority on international healthcare issues within the United Nations (UN) system, promoting the attainment of the highest possible level of health by all people. WHO intervenes within six intersecting areas of work: the provision of assistance to its 194 Member States in the development of their respective health systems; the eradication of non-communicable diseases; the promotion of good lifelong health; the prevention, treatment, and care for communicable diseases; the preparedness, surveillance, and response with respect to international health emergencies; and the extension of corporate services to the organization’s public and private partners. WHO is guided by the principle that health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

United Nations Security Council
The Security Council consisting of 15 Members, has the primary responsibility of maintenance of peace and security. Pakistan National Assembly
The National Assembly of Pakistan is the country's sovereign legislative body. It embodies the will of the people to let themselves be governed under the democratic, multi-party Federal Parliamentary System. The National Assembly makes laws for the Federation in respect of the powers enumerated in the Federal Legislative list. Through its debates, adjournment motion question hour and Standing Committees, the National assembly keeps as check over the Executive and ensures that the government functions within the parameters set out in the Constitution and does not violate the fundamental rights of citizens. Only the national assembly, through its Public Accounts Committee, scrutinizes public spending and exercises control of expenditure incurred by the government.

United Nations Entity for Gender Equality
UN Women, is a body enabled by United Nations concerned with the establishment of gender equality and empowerment of women. Violence against women has always been common in progressive and conservative countries alike. This committee equips the international community with tools to eliminate violence and discrimination against women and foster the empowerment of all genders. Aims to create an environment in which every woman and girl can exercise her human rights and live up to her full potential.

Harry Potter Fantasy Committee
This committee focuses on the characters and incidents which are part of J.K. Rowling's famous novel series 'Harry Potter'. Delegates in this committee represent different characters from the series (there can be a Voldemort as well; you really don't wanna mess with the Dark Lord, do you?).
Delegates who are part of this committee, usually, have tremendous information about the Harry Potter series, all of its characters and their allegiances, about Hogwarts, Azkaban, the Ministry etc. This committee provides a wonderful opportunity to HP fans to prove to the world that watching the movie series or reading all the novels has not gone in-vain at all and it can possibly give one a Best Delegate award, that is, if one is diplomatic enough and knows the magic spells.
